This site is a great resource for all of the Missouri Music GLEs that require students to compare music to other art forms.  There are wonderful, detailed definitions and examples of art vocabulary as well as images of artwork that exhibits the vocabulary word.  Be sure to look up the word rhythm for examples of visual rhythm.

San Francisco Symphony
This site has it all and more!  A Composerizer allows students to create a rhythmic composition by arranging rhythms.  They can even hear the music played back!  Additionally, students can learn to play piano with a color coded music system.  Students can learn about tempo by selecting a metronome that clicks the tempo that is chosen.  There is also great animation and interactive features for symbols, harmony, and rhythm.

Ukulele Fretboard
Very cool site that allows you not only to select a chord and see it on the fretboard, but also has a Play Along feature which allows you to see the chords as the song plays.  This would be great for classrooms with ability to display the computer screen in a larger format.  When you register, you can create your own songs for the Play Along Feature.
